Nelsons Plains Flood Damage Restoration
As a result of the April 2015 floods a number of sites along the Hunter and Paterson Rivers had been damaged. Of those affected, six critically affected locations were identified for restoration by the NSW Soil Conservation Service.
MGN Civil Pty Ltd is the Principal Contractor for the Hunter Valley Flood Mitigation Scheme – April 2015 Flood Damage Restoration.
The main works undertaken entail:
- Foundation stripping and preparation
- Slope re-shaping and general earthworks
- Placement of geotextile
- River bank restoration using rockfill for toe scour protection, slope revetment and protection, including end treatments
- General Landscaping including surface stabilisation and revegetation, restoration of disturbed areas, etc.
