The rock revetment at the Svitzer Tug Base had become unstable over the years. Past attempts to patch with rock and shotcrete had failed and the time had come for a full repair.

As part of this project the following tasks were complete:

• Relocate floating pontoons, gangways and street furniture.
• Protect existing services such as fuel lines, water and foam, electricity and telecommunications.
• Remove existing rock and excess mud
• Import and place Armour, Filter and geotextiles
• Import, blast, paint and install 13m long sheet piles.
• Install concrete capping beams and stormwater infrastructure.
